  • Performed 29 Left Ventricular Assisting Device (LVAD) implants since the program was Joint Commission certified in 2016. The LVAD is used both as a bridge therapy for transplantation and as a destination therapy for patients with severe heart failure. Operative mortality and 30-day mortality have been zero among all implanted LVAD patients, compared with a national average of 5% and 10% respectively.

  • Offers Computerized Tomographic Angiography (CT Angiography or CTA). 
    • CTA is a diagnostic test that combines the technology of a conventional CT scan with that of traditional angiography to create detailed images of the blood vessels in the body. This type of exam is typically used to examine blood vessels in the brain, neck, chest and abdomen and is used to help diagnose a narrowing or obstruction of the arteries, an aneurysm, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or another vascular condition.
